If someone were to write a book on the history of the legal profession in the Willamette Valley, the name Rhoten would appear on more than a few pages.
In 1927, David A. Rhoten’s father, Geo. A. Rhoten, began his law practice in Salem. David grew up with his father’s firm, and in 1961 became a part of Rhoten, Rhoten & Speerstra.
In 1984, David established a separate practice in Salem. Lawrence W. Andrews became an associate in the firm in 1987, and Jeffrey M. Strickland joined the firm in 2003.

Earning each client’s trust is the priority. “Knowledge of the law, courtroom experience, reasonable fees… we have these important attributes,” says David, “but the critical factor is that our clients have faith in us.”
